A news source states that a guy was recently arrested for attempted murder during a fight that started at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa.

Lamar Brooks, 33, of Bartow, Florida, and his estranged friend Cameron Brewer first argued about money at the casino resort in Florida.

At an unidentified strip club nearby, the two carried on their argument. The Polk County Sheriff's Office claims that later, Brooks made an effort to wreck Brewer's vehicle on a highway.

Fireworks Break Out

Authorities reported that both men engaged in a shooting spree in their area after that. About 40 miles east of the casino, both men live.

Brewer got out of his car and went to pee in some bushes. 

"While doing so, Brooks retrieved a semi-automatic rifle from an unknown location and walks into the yard of Brewer’s residence,” according to a police report quoted on Friday by Florida TV station WFLA.

It is said that Brooks shot shots into the earth. Brewer allegedly ran in Brooks' direction.

Then, according to reports, Brooks aimed the weapon at Brewer's chest. Officials claimed that Brooks then fired seven or ten shots.

Brewer pulled the gun out of reach. Brewer then entered his home at that point.

He returned carrying a.45 caliber Hi-Point and a.380 caliber Beretta. It is said that he fired two rounds into the earth.

Brooks left the area, looking scared by the gunfire. He entered his house and would not come out.

He spent approximately sixty minutes there. Several sheriff's deputies showed up at the scene of the crime.

Eventually, deputies were able to persuade Brooks to come outside and turn himself in.

Several Fees

According to WFLA, Brooks was accused of attempted second-degree murder, tampering with evidence, using a firearm to commit a felony, possessing a handgun as a felon, discharging a firearm in a residential area, and resisting an officer without using force.

He was charged with the offense. Local prosecutors will take over the case. For the charges, Brooks has not yet entered a plea. He might spend a lot of years behind bars if found guilty.

Brewer's involvement in the altercation is not being prosecuted. It's unclear whether the violent episodes resulted in any injuries for either man.

The initial dispute's financial value was kept a secret by the authorities.
