Jackpot Digital Tops Off Eventful Week with Ontario Licensing News

Vancouver's Jackpot Digital Inc. concluded a busy week by announcing that it has secured a license to operate in Ontario's casino industry.

Ontario Growth

Jackpot is a provider of dealerless electronic poker and table games, and yesterday revealed that the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) approved the company for licensing as a registered Gaming Related Supplier in the province, allowing Jackpot to provide electronic table games to gaming establishments in Ontario, including casinos and other regulated venues.

“This approval provides us with the opportunity to offer our top-tier electronic gaming systems to operators throughout all of Ontario, positioning us for further growth in one of the world’s most robust gaming markets,” said Jake Kalpakian, CEO of Jackpot Digital, in a written statement.

"We are excited to bring our innovative products to Ontario’s gaming community and continue our commitment to providing exciting, technology-driven entertainment experiences.

The firm also mentioned in the statement that it has received inquiries from casinos throughout Ontario and "plans to promptly connect with gaming operators."

This news followed the announcement on Wednesday that Jackpot had entered into a letter of intent to provide two of its premier Jackpot Blitz machines to PENN Entertainment’s Boomtown Casino & Hotel New Orleans.

The Jackpot Blitz combines 4K touchscreen technology with card vending systems that mimic real card gameplay, featuring real-time monitoring of player statistics, bankroll, and bonuses. In addition to poker, players can explore a collection of games such as Baccarat and Blackjack.

Dealer-Free Poker Technology

Boomtown Casino is situated 15 minutes from the French Quarter in New Orleans, featuring 800 slot machines and video poker options, along with 30 gaming tables.

Every new machine set up signifies monthly recurring revenue for Jackpot Digital.

Jackpot stated in its announcement that it is pursuing more licensing applications in various regions of Canada and the U.S.

“We continue to experience significant demand for Jackpot Bitz across the United States and worldwide,” Kalpakian said. “We anticipate our momentum will continue to build through 2024 and beyond, as we acquire more licenses and new properties to our installation base.”

Jackpot has revealed land-based setups in California, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Oregon, U.S. Virgin Islands, Washington, and Saskatchewan.
